Artist Statement

My work is built from conversations I have between the future, present and past. The conversations are my compositions where the colors fashion themselves into various abstract components. These components form the shapes of thought, a language that is musical, architectural, spacial, woven, spiritual and subliminal.

I am inspired by the power of improvisation as an artistic tool because of its effect in dispelling time and because the results are often surprising. I also feel a sense of risk involved in making something unfamiliar but the challenge of taking that unfamiliarity and attempting to polish it into something compelling and harmonious, feels worth it.

How can I enjoy my work as a seven year old version of myself?

That’s my goal, to make work that would inspire awe and wonder in my seven year old self.
